FARMINGTON, NH — The Farmington Fish and Game Club
recently donated $500 to Moose Mountains Regional Greenways
to help conserve the Horn Brook Forest in Middleton, NH. The
Society for the Protection of NH Forests will hold the conservation
easement on the property.
This 146-acre forest is next to the recently conserved 2,332-acre Moose Mountains Reservation. The land features 2,700 feet of stream frontage along Horn Brook, mature forest, and wetlands and uplands that provide habitat for a number of creatures, including moose, deer, bear, woodcock, partridge and turkey.
“Our Club members have enjoyed this land for years,”
said Farmington Fish and Game Club President Bob Todd. “We’re
proud to contribute to its conservation, to make sure the
land will be there for future generations.”
The Farmington Fish and Game Club seeks to further the interest
of sportsmen in regard to the rod, bow and gun; to participate
in the propagation and conservation of all wildlife and the
forests and streams in which they live; and to participate
in and enjoy all legal forms of outdoor recreation. For more
information, visit www.farmingtonfishandgameclub.org.
